relating to local education foundations. Leaders from local
education foundations are invited to share successes and challenges as
well as participate in skill-building trainings.

Issues
Update: A Basic Primer, by Ronald T.
Vera, Gutierrez & Vera, LLP, provides a legal update for local
education foundation leaders. This document was presented during
the annual conference.
TV
program First to Worst - In the 50's and 60's California had one of
the best school systems in the country. Now it has one of the worst.
What happened over the course of 40 years that led to this decline? And
what is California doing to raise its system back up?
CCEF will be
distributing a DVD of the program plus "talking points" for local
education foundations wanting to host a town hall meeting. Contact the
